Ronald's parents died of AIDS and left behind him and his sister Violet. They were placed in her grandmother's care but despite her best efforts, she was unable to take care of Ronald and his sister so they was placed in the care of Lusungu Children's Home

Ronald’s love for math will be put to good use when he becomes an accountant. Until then, he will use that mind to master the game of marbles or outwit his friends on the soccer field. His favorite color is blue.
